Paul Walker Has Died Aged 40 – R.I.P


This morning it was confirmed that actor, Paul Walker, best known for his roles in the Fast & Furious franchise, has died at the age of 40.

Walker was in the passenger seat of a friends Porsche while being driven home from a charity event for Reach Out Worldwide that he had attended in Los Angeles. The driver of the Porsche, who has not yet been named, was also killed.

Making his debut in 2001 alongside Vin Diesel, Walker starred in all but one of the seven of the movie series, along with having roles in other movies such as Into the Blue, Flags of our Fathers, and Takers.

On Walker’s Facebook page, they confirmed the news in a statement that read: “It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organisation Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We… are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news.”

On Instagram, co-star Vin Diesel left his heartfelt message, “Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless. Heaven has gained a new Angel. Rest in Peace.”

The Fast studio has said this in a statement that was issued Saturday Night, “All of us at Universal are heartbroken. Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast And Furious films, and to countless fans. We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul’s family.”

The Rock, who starred with Walker in Fast 5, Fast & Furious 6 and the one in production, Fast & Furious 7, tweeted, “All my strength, love and faith to the Walker family during this heartbreaking time. We find our strength… in his light. Love you brother.”

The next movie due to release this month, starring Walker is suspense drama Hours, with Fast & Furious 7 currently in production too.

With the tragic news bringing tears to our eyes, our hearts are heavy. He will be greatly missed.
