Star Wars: Episode VII to be shot on 35mm by Dan Mindel

Star Trek cinematographer Dan Mindel will be directing the new Star Wars: Episode VII movie. It has also been confirmed that it will be shot on 35mm.

Having overused anamorphic lens flares on other projects, Mindel and J.J. Abrams will most probably have a new look for Star Wars. Although, it would look good with some lens flares.

Seeing as they’re shooting in 35mm, maybe Star Wars will be going back to how it used to be before George Lucas shot on digital.

Star Wars: Episode VII opens in 2015.
